Pottermore

Hey guys! Today I'm going to make a review about the official website of Harry Potter: Pottermore. I joined it a year ago, before they upgraded it, and I like the change in almost everything. Before, it was more like an online game than a website where you could see actual unpublished information about the series. When you logged in, you made the Sorting (a personality test) and you discovered your new house. Then, a wand chose you with the help of another test. After that, you started winning points for your new house exploring some images that showed scenes from the books, making potions, duelling with other users...Okay, it was very fun, but unless you spent all day in it you couldn't win much points and they didn't tell you curious facts about the series. And that was what I was looking for. In this new version, you still have the Sorting and the wands, but practically everything is new information written by J.K Rowling. Besides, the online game has disappeared. That, in my opinion, is way more interesting.

Another problem you had with the old version was that, below the images, there was a coments section. "Well, that isn't so terrible, no?" you'll think. You're wrong. Instead of doing what it was meant for (helping other users to find the things to win points) some people started to make online stories with other users where they imagined they were Harry's sons, or the sons of the other main characters, and started to invent adventures and write them there. It is a cool idea if you have some friends that also love Harry Potter, but those are public comments. Some people published weird parts of their fanfictions and, when I say weird, I mean VERY WEIRD. So, it was very akward when you checked the comments section for help, and you feared what you could find next.
But, fortunately, the new version hasn't got this problem. You can find a lot about wand cores, characters and the new play "The Cursed Child". In conclusion, this is a page worth using for anyone madly in love with the dark-haired wizard.
